Shakee Galberth of Bridgeport was arrested around 1 p.m. Wednesday after members of the Stamford Narcotics and Organized Crime unit received a tip that a large, bald, black man would be in the area of the Red Carpet Inn on Main Street for a deal, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.
Agents set-up surveillance on the motel and spotted Galberth pull up in a Toyota Highlander and immediately moved in to make an arrest, Conklin said.
During a search, officers found 56 envelopes heroin in his front pocket, he added.
Galberth was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell. He is being held on a $10,000 bond.
